Position Summary:

Compliance IT Business Analyst II is responsible for operational audits, compliance audits, and IT projects participation across Burlington Stores IT environment. Operational audits cover IT specific processes & technologies, as well as integrated projects with financial partners to review key business areas and initiatives. Compliance projects cover Burlington Stores PCI assessment, SOX compliance and IT security processes. Project risk advisement in strategic business areas at Burlington Stores including ecommerce, logistics, store operations, finance, marketing, information security, and IT infrastructure are also performed.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Compliance Analyst will have an understanding of a retail environment and experience with compliance controls.

Administrative

  • Identifying and tracking assessment/audit performance metrics.

  • Reviewing third-party attestation and audit reports, and providing feedback to business leaders and risk owners.

  • Preparing Daily Change Management Agenda

Planning

  • Planning and reviewing the annual review of compliance requirements influencing operations and initiatives in information security, privacy, and IT risk management.

  • Planning and reviewing annually the risks influencing the effectiveness of information security, privacy, and Information security risk management.

  • Studying risk assessments conducted by the business owners and support functions to incorporate relevant tests in assessment plans.

  • Collaborating with the Burlington internal audit team, and external auditors.

Audit

  • Performing examination of security controls to determine design and operational effectiveness.

  • Supporting IT management testing of controls independent of the audit schedule to save time during audits.

Assisting third-party audits in consultation with IT, IA, business process owners and vendor management.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or IT related field with solid academic credentials (Preferred)

  • 2+ years of audit assessment experience with PCI or SOX (Retail Preferred)

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Knowledge of data analytics software a plus.

  • Sound understanding of IT control principles including logical access controls, change control, segregation of duties, computer operations, and network security.

  • Demonstrates team management and project management experience.

  • Demonstrates ability to work in a complex, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong inherent project execution skills, including prioritizing competing tasks, balancing workload between multiple projects, anticipating next steps, adapting to changing situations and project scope.

  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including written and verbal communications, willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary, and commitment to self-improvement and completion of team objectives.

  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain management relationships.
