PPD Account Manager - Acurian (A PPD Company) - Office or Home Based in Horsham, Pennsylvania
Collaborates within the assigned account team to prospect, qualify and close new business opportunities as well as support the weekly management of the active projects and customer relationships of the assigned territory.
Develops and maintains customer relationships.
Participates in proposal development for new opportunities.
Drives sales and revenue growth within given territory and achieves assigned booking and revenue goals.
Supports Account Director in all aspects of customer contact through to contracting.
Participates in active projects focused on customer relationship management.
Communicates and escalates where appropriate all current status and changes in status to all account team and other Acurian stakeholders.
Participates in customer strategic account planning activities.
Communicates all sales activities to account team and Acurian management.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Demonstrated experience in Lead Generation
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Customer relationship building skills
Financial and analytical acumen with the ability to evaluate study development and financial impact of solutions
Strong analytical and computer skills with key office product software, and contact management software
Must be detail oriented with ability to organize and structure tasks
Working Conditions and Environment:
Long, varied hours required occasionally
Some travel may be needed; 25 – 50% depending on territory geography
Required to carry company provided cell phone
Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
Frequent mobility required.
Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in house and off-the-shelf.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.
Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
