Position Description :

Senior Medical Secretary performs essential clerical/administrative duties in the Division of Hematology Oncology outpatient units. Assists the administrative and clinical staff in maintaining a patient/customer focus, supports the delivery of highest quality care, shares a passion for patient and customer centered care, and assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial and operational targets. Ensures that all administrative/clerical/research aspects of practice are addressed. Triages, schedules and processes new and return patient inquiries. Serves as clinic and administrative secretary to assigned physicians. Serves as coverage partner to other practice Medical Secretaries. Assists clinical and administrative staff as needed. Performs other duties as assigned and as requested.

Minimum Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of clerical office experience.

Additional Information :

Excellent customer service skills, computer knowledge, basic medical terminology, patient scheduling experience, knowledge and fluent use of EPIC and APM
